HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT A CUP OF TEA, THE MOUNTAINS AND THE OCEAN HAVE IN COMMON?
Marian Crole was born in Switzerland of an Uruguayan mother and a British father. Multiculturality is printed on her DNA, increased by the fact that there are 6 nationalities among her siblings.
What?
Yes, her eldest (half)sister is Swedish, the following two are half German, and the youngest children of her dad are half Mauritian. That is how Marian received, from the very start, all that is needed, not to believe nor understand how interconnected we are, but to experience it!
Before dedicating herself fully to her artistic career, she worked as an ombudswoman and an adult trainer in team management.
» Nothing connects as much as art, nothing helps you express and feel what needs to be felt as instantly as art does. » She says.
« I chose music because music is connection. »
Marian Crole describe herself as a nomad in the quest for connection. Her music inevitably blends the differences of her multicultural origins, she writes and sings in Spanish, French and English.
She grew up listening to Rio de la Plata’s samba, French songs, classical music and pop from the 60’s.
The result of these influences translate into a kind of refreshing soul music. She re-arranges her songs for each concert: so sometimes her music will sound more intimate as in « sleeping concerts », sometimes more groovy as in full band concerts. All you can be sure is there will be love!
She aims to create through each concert and each song a place where to be present and safe.
What people love about her music :
« A jazzy elegance, a simplicity that is only apparent, and a poetry magnified by a wide and dense voice.«
« It’s a feeling of a cocoon of light… a light of hope and understanding. …like a cozy atmosphere of a Grand Palace as we see in the movies. »
“Despite the fact that I can not understand the language, your voice touches the heart.”
